organic stains and some fading, patent with moderate scattered staining,
overall very good for these types of documents. $650.00
A wonderful pairing of documents from the gold region near Boulder,
Montana Territory with the patent bearing the presidential signature of
R.B. Hayes. The Ryan-Dunphy claim is drawn on a scale of 5 chains [66ft]
to an inch and shows the extent of the patent to embrace approximately
5,500 feet along the Little Boulder Creek, North Branch. The area
surveyed is situated in Township 5, north of Range 5 and West of the
Principal Meridian, in the County of Jefferson and Territory of Montana,
in the district of lands subject to sale at Helena... The patent and
mineral claim, recorded by the Government Land Office at Helena on 24
April, 1876, describes in detail the lands as shown on the accompanying
map and bears the Presidential signature of R[utherford] B Hayes dated at
Washington 6 September 187
